A lovely new school bag..

What's that Bex, a new bag?
OH HOW WONDERFUL!
That was a little exaggerative but without further ado...

Ta-da, my new bag. Oh how wonderful it's greyish-mint with wonderful golden fastens and pretty bits. Ok, so I admit this bag isn't as ravishing as it could've been but hey, everything looks better online!

So, it was time for a new bag for school, you know when your school bag gets to that stage where it's falling to bits? Yeah, that's where my school bag was at, so I decided to throw in the towel on my old leather tote and grab another one. This bag, you may or may not be surprised to hear only cost me £5.00 from Matalan, but this was on promotion as I have a gleaming "Black Card" for spending  £150 in matalan over a period of a year a couple of years back. Despite the promotion this bag is only £12.00 anyway, so definately worth the buy if its to your taste.  It comes in four colours, Black, Peach, Tan and this grey/mint colour but I may go back and pick up the Peach just because I couldn't decide and also wanted both colours *grin*. This bag is rather spacious - or at least spacious enough for all your school nessecities and comes with a beautiful animal print lining inside with a spot to tuck in your phone and a zip pocket for other little bits and bobs. Overall, I think this bag is a little beauty and for only £5.00 can you go wrong?

Oh how very ravishing!
That's all for now, thanks for reading my little blog post for today.

I would love...

There's many things I would love in general but there's one massive thing that I would completely and utterly enjoy and would find absoloutely terrific and that is.. white teeth!

Zoella and her beautiful teeth we all long to have!
It's not as if I don't clean my teeth because I brush everyday, twice a day and it's not even that I drink too much random crap, yes I like the occassional cup of tea in the morning but surely that can't be it.. I suppose it just pains me to say that my teeth are not white and also very ugly *cry*

I know we can't have everything but I have tried every toothpaste going! "Ooh this toothpaste will give you white teeth" - No, you're lying and I didn't really fancy paying £10 for a tube of toothpaste that didn't work thank you very much!

I've also read all these 'home remedies'  about mixing hydrogen peroxide and other gods knows what with things but I am, quite frankly, too scared to put these odd mixtures into my mouth. Imagine what would happen, a chemical reaction going on all up in my mouth - woah, creepy.

So anyway, I guess I'm just one of those people that'll never have white teeth. What a blumming shame.

What are your remedies on keeping your teeth white? Do you have the same problem as me? Leave your comments down below!

For now, goodbye!

Plans for the next few months

Hello everyone, I realise that I haven't blogged in a while and it's upsetting me that I just generally don't have anything to blog about! Also, I've been having lots of exams so yeah, just trying my best to keep things on schedule!

Ok so girls and guys, you're in for a treat as on Monday the 11th I am going to Bristol with my friends and I am going to do sort of what may seem a "challenge" to me and only spend £60 in the whole of Bristol BUT Bristol does mean PRIMARK! Wahooooooo!

That means, I could either make a massive long blog post of what I have bought.. or... start a YouTube channel!
.. or better yet, both!

What are your opinions? Let me know in the comments.

So after the shopping spree in Bristol on the 11th of February, I have no plans for valentines day so may do something with one of my friends and post a video about it on my channel (which, I MAY make) But I do want to know your opinions.

I know I made a post saying back into the swing of things a few weeks ago, so I'm sorry I'm not 'back into the swing of things' quite yet, but I promise I will be soon! Thanks to everyone for reading and I'm almost at 200 views, which for me is GREAT!

Thanks everybody, love you all, don't forget to push the "join this site" button :)

Being a voluptuous young woman and... proud?

I started this post yesterday but didn't get to finish it due to some rather unsettling news but anyway, it's a little rambly so apologies in advance!

I would say that I am quite a bit larger than most of my friends, them being size 6, 8, 10's and me being, well a rather a lot bigger at a 14/16.

There's a lot of different angles you can look at about being big, obviously there is always going to be the people who will mock you for being larger than others but that's just something that's going to happen. Everyone gets picked on for something and I guess mine is just that I am a big person - I'm not saying it's right for people to get picked on for being any different, because it definitely isn't - but what I am saying is that it is going to happen no matter what is different about you and these are things that we have to come to terms with. I just don't see what's so wrong with being different? I don't believe that anybody is perfect and everybody has their flaws, but it's those flaws that make us the people we are and nobody should mock us for them!

Obviously, I would much rather be slimmer than a size 14 at the age of 15 and I'm sure any of you who were given the chance would change something about themselves but to be honest it's so easy to think that you are so horrible and disgusting and agree with the people that may be insulting you "oh maybe I am a fat walrus" "maybe I am too fat" "maybe I should stop eating to be skinnier" but I promise you that you are not and you should not, I repeat should NOT ever put yourself down because You. Are. Beautiful.

I've been bigger than most of my friends now ever since I moved in with my Dad when I was in year 5, I don't know why but that is when I remember I started getting bigger than everybody else and I've been following diets and exercise regimes since about year seven and it sounds weird but I just honestly don't think my body wants to be any skinnier and it's got to the stage after all of these fitness things and all the pressure I've put on myself that I've realised that I am happy like this and I do not need to change for anybody.

An added bonus by the way - is the fact that I can dip in and out of the "plus sizes" as I please and it's great! I can usually find whatever I want in the sales by dipping between the two hehe!

I'm not sure who this is, I saw it on my news feed and loved it!
So what I'm trying to say is you should be happy with who you are because after all, no matter how much you change you will always be you and that's great! I'm not sure if anybody would have got anything from this but if you did that's brilliant!

I'll be back to more fashion bits in the next few days so keep your eyes O.O peeled!

What do you think?

Heya guys, I hope you enjoyed my five favorites from 2012.

Firstly I've came to apologise that I won't be making too many blog posts in the next few days, I've got a few exams and I'm going to try to study for them as well as being terribly ill *sigh*

Secondly I'd like to ask if anybody would like me to write a long blog post about my current issues with anxiety and depression and how I got to this stage, if anybody would be interested in that then I was contemplating it but it doesn't really go with the blog hehe!

And finally I'd like you to meet my gorgeous little puppy Prince!

Although when I say puppy.. he is not much more as a puppy than I am. He is infact.. 13 years old.. you can work it out in 'dog years' if you like haha! Here's some more pictures of my gorgeous little boy.

He likes watching Stella (even though he's blind, awkward)
Anyway, you can see more pictures of him by following me on twitter @BEX1AR. Tweet me anything and I will reply :) Thanks, see you soon x x x

Five Favorites From 2012. NUMBER ONE!

DUUUH DUUUUUH, DUUUH DUHHH DUH DUH! Is it a bird, is it a plane? Nope! It's Bex's number one product from 2012 and it's ....

This hair oil is magical! Honestly I cross my heart - it works wonders. Before I used this at the beginning of July - after an adventurous shopping trip just after my birthday - my hair was like a bush, horribly heavy and frizzy and there was nothing I could find to solve it until I found this. I don't know how to explain what it does but honest it makes my hair so soft, shiny and airy.

I usually use this right after I wash my hair (with the shampoo it came with!) before I dry it. Sometimes I even leave it to dry naturally with it in and you wouldn't believe it but it actually reduces drying time.. (like oh my gosh.. is this perfection?) I also use this when sometimes my hair just needs a little more of an 'oomph' to get it to look good and this does the trick! B-e-a-utiful!

It doesn't stop there OH NO! I only have to use the tiniest amount and I have used it most days since July and I've still got half a bottle left, I'm hoping it lasts me another 6 months so then I can take another slightly venturous trip to buy it at around £25 (see the link below for a cheaper price)

P.S. this also has a delicious vanilla fragrance. I love it so much!

And that's why Orofluido has made it to number one on my top list of 2012 products. I will leave you with the description from the Beautybay website which explains more than I ever could.. enjoy!

"Orofluido Hair Oil is a beauty elixir for all hair types, with a pure luxuriance that envelops the hair. Orofluido hair oil contains three exotic, organic yet natural oils: Cyperus, Argan and Linseed oil, referred to as the three vertices of the pyramid of beauty.
  • Cyperus Oil originates from the tropical regions in the northern hemisphere. It was first cultivated from marshes in Egypt many thousands of years ago; Cyperus oil has a high content of fatty acids and tocopherol which leaves hair smooth, manageable and full of volume.
  • Argan Oil comes from the Argan tree in Morocco and dates back millions of years. Rich in vitamin E and provides a natural protection for your hair leaving it feeling light and incredibly nourished, its special properties are also effective in soothing itchy scalps and is often described as “liquid gold for the hair!”
  • Linseed Oil is derived from the tiny seeds of the flax plant in the Mediterranean. Containing Omega 3 and unsaturated fatty acids it seals and smoothes the cuticles of the hair providing uniformity and control.
As a result hair gathers and reflects the light, giving it a spectacular shine. This exquisite mixture has a pleasant silky texture that absorbs into the hair rapidly leaving no residue on the scalp or hair. The delicious Amber fragrance with a base of Vanilla will transport you into a fascinating world of oriental perfume."

Fave Favorites From 2012 (Number two)

Hello everyone, today I'd like to tell you about number two on my list of five favorites!

Number two is my Match Perfection foundation by Rimmel which I have in light porcelain and Rimmel also stock in 15 other shades. Light porcelain is one of the lightest shades I believe!

Last year I was on the hunt for a perfect foundation that ACTUALLY matches my skin tone and also doesn't look streaky or cheap.

I am so glad I've found this one in November of this year (when I purchased my normal powder, click here!) It was on sale for only £4.00 in ASDA so I thought I'd grab it when we were out buying our weekly shop but I believe that this foundation you can get online or in Superdrug for £5 anyway so it's not really "breaking the bank".

I'm not ever spotty so I only ever use foundation to get rid of the redness I have on my face and YES! This one does the job perfect. Combined with my other powder foundation this is perfect and allows me to have a clean
looking finish with no dreadful streaks.

I apply this foundation every day using a foundation brush that I picked up from Primark for £1.50.. which FYI I found out works better than a sponge with this foundation!

This foundation for me also lasts all day long which is perfect for when I'm at school. The majority of the foundation's I have worn in the past have been off of my face by about 11:00am and so this is a massive plus for me.

It also gives me great coverage and doesn't leave me patchy at all.

.... I also like the little pump on the top (hehe), its better to use than some of my past foundations that are 'squeezy' bottles. And this foundation smells great too, another massive bonus!

So all in all, a win!

Five Favorites From 2012 (Number three)

Good evening people! Lets get straight to it, today I'm going to be telling you number three on my list!

So number three on my list is VO5's strong hold hair spray.

Not only does it do what it says on the tin it also smells gorgeous! I know that's not what most people look for in a hairspray but it is a benefit.

This is a wonderful hairspray and holds magnificently with no stickiness and doesn't make me look like someone from the Hairspray movie with a bulk of hair stuck still.

This hairspray also is easy to brush out which means I don't need to wash my hair after every time I use it.

I am also glad to say that this hairspray reduces my frizz which is a massive bonus! It is perfect as frizz is a massive problem with my hair just a little bit of humidity and it goes cray-zay so by using this before I leave the house leaves my hair straighter and non-frizzed for the rest of the day.

And finally at between £2 and £3 this is a brilliantly cheap, effective product and is perfect for my hair.

So that is why this has made it to my top five!

Five Favorite Products of 2012 (Number four)

Hello you beautiful people!

Today I'm going to tell you about number four on my favorite product list which is...

This matte pressed powder by 2true from Superdrug! If you haven't yet realised I do try to search for the best I can get for the cheapest price I can and this for me ticks all of the boxes.

Despite only being available in three shades, the lightest one is just right for my light complexion, it matches just right.
As I said before when reviewing the Raspberry Milkshake Body Cream I have very sensitive skin and I am glad to say that I have not had any skin outbreaks by using this so an A* for that!
I have had this powder since the beginning of November and as you can see I haven't used a lot even though I actually apply it everyday.
I wear this powder over my liquid foundation (which you will see within the next few days! psttt) and it makes my skin appear really smooth and clear.
This powder is also incredibly cheap at only £1.99 per pot which is astonishingly great value.
Overall I can't fault this powder and this is why it has made it to my top five 2012 favorites!

That's all for today, sorry it's so short. I'll be sure to make up for it tomorrow!

You can buy the powder by clicking here!

Five Favorites From 2012!

OK girlies and product loving boysies for the next five days I thought that I would review my Top Five Favorite products from 2012

This wonderful Raspberry milkshake body cream from n-spa exclusively from ASDA kicks off the list at number five. It comes both in pots of 250ml and 75ml (which I actually own both of). I find that it is a wonderful moisturiser and for somebody with very dry and sensitive skin it is very hard for me to find one that both moisturises and doesn't leave me with any skin irritation.

This cream comes presented in a transparent tub with a black lid which with a one flick of the wrist uncovers the wonderful cream inside and the instant smell of raspberry which is wonderful. On top of the lid there is a pink circle which has a verse printed on it informing me that if the moon was made out of raspberry the socks would be pink and flowers would be made from meringue.. I'd like that a lot!

I love applying this to my skin (mainly my legs) right after a shower or a bath because of it's nice creamy consistency. I feel as if I don't need to use a lot despite N-Spa's suggestion of "generously" applying it as it does leave sometimes leave my skin feeling a little sticky for about five minutes afterwards but I don't mind as I often sit in my towel for a while relaxing.. oops! After this I am left with beautifully soft skin and the smell of the raspberry usually stays around for a day or so, but I couldn't tell you if it stays for longer as I usually have another shower within two days!

Overall this product is beautiful and also very cheap at £2.98 for a 250ml tub which has lasted me since the middle of 2012. The reason I own both tubs is because the smaller one was bought as a gift for me - which I was pleased about I can assure you. The smaller tub is great for travelling with which is an added bonus for me as I go to stay with family a lot on the opposite side of England. So this is why the n-spa body cream has made it onto my five favorites from 2012!

I hope you've enjoyed reading this and stick around for the next four days for the next four products on my list!

All about.. SALES!

Hello to all you fabulous people out there, I know I'm a little late on this topic but today I thought I'd write about the end of year/ January SALES

Today i thought I would tell you all about a few things about this years sales starting with what bugs me about them, then getting on to show you some things that I actually bought myself!

  • The first thing that bugs me about sales is how the shops have extortionate prices for things that not four days later they have on sale for half of the price. For example this dress (see picture) I purchased from New Look for £25 saw it when I popped in yesterday for a cheap for a dress £15 yesterday - "sod's law"
  • Another thing that irritates me about sales is how cramped it can get. I know everybody's out for a bargain but is it really necessary to push and fight for a few bits of clothing?
  • Finally, it frustrates me when they do not have the changing rooms open and then tell you that you cannot take it back. I know there are some people that can just pick up things and know that they fit but with me, I'm never too sure! Sometimes I can fit into a 12/14 and other times I have to go up to a 16/18. It's just different for different shops so limiting me to not try it on and not bring me up really doesn't go down well with me.

Now! On a happier note; I'll be pleased to share with you some of the things I snapped up on sale in my local New Look, Primark and Topshop.

The first thing I'd like to show you is this wonderfull cream coloured chiffon dress that I picked up in Primark for only £7 which is outstandingly cheap for a dress like this. It is also suprisingly warm for a dress, I wore it to a family party in the week between Christmas and New Year and wore it outside and didn't feel cold at all so for £7 this dress was a bargain.

Another thing that I bought from Primark was this snood in a deep red colour. I actually bought it from the mens section in Primark after watching a Youtube Primark Haul (although I can't remember who's.. eek!) and it is incredibly warm. Anyway, this was £5 but it wasn't in the sale as I bought it at the beginning of December, so you may be able to snap one up very cheap now as we go through the last of the winter months!

I also bought quite a wide range of items from New Look and the first item I purchased was this cheap little dark purple pull over (although the pictures make it look light purple!) with gold rounded studs for only £5. I really like it for an around the house jumper but I think that the collar makes it look a little too tacky to wear out. I just think that it's really nice and I especially like the studs on the front.

The second item I bought from New Look is this beautiful in between bunswick and army green blazer (despite it looking black in the photo, sigh). I had been searching for a blazer for a while and felt that for £9 I may as well get it, even if I don't wear it as often as I'd like just for the time being until I find one in either a navy or a black as I don't think this will go with as many things as I'd like.

Another thing I bought from New Look is this beautiful Khaki shirt with two pockets on the front. I am a real big lover of shirts and felt that this for £7 would fill the space in my wardrobe that I had been saving for a new shirt.

The final thing that I purchased was this Hooded Sweat Top in grey for £15 from Topshop. I really like it and feel that it is warmer than the previous one I got from New Look for the same price.

So that's everything that I've bought in the sales so far, I don't really feel as if this years sales are as great as some of the previous years alongside the fact I didn't have as much money to splash out. So for now..

toodle pip!

A few things you may like to know...

Greetings everyone!

As my new years resolution was to do something productive with my time I thought I'd start a blog and this seemed to me to be the perfect website to do so. Now I'd like to tell you a few things about myself.

I love everything floral, unqiue and shabby chic
I live with my grandparents in a beautiful home in Wiltshire.
I am 15 years old, currently studying my GCSE's; Geography, ICT, Business and German.
Sadly, I have been struggling with anxiety and depression for the past year and a half.
I love, love, LOVE shopping and I can't get enough of it!
I am a firm believer in that everybody should be treated the same, no matter what background they come from, their age, gender, religon, size, looks. Everybody deserves to be treated as equals.
I have to follow a strict schedule in order to get on in my life, it's odd that I can't change it.
I believe that if your goal in life is to make somebody feel bad then you should re-consider your ambitions. Nobody deserves to be put down for things that they can't control.
I meet with my Dad every wednesday evening where we spend an hour together catching up.
I have one brother, one half brother, one step brother and three step sisters (honestly, it's a mouthful!)

And.. I would love to continue but my Dad is here now so I better sign off!
Thank you for reading!
Please comment below on anything you would like me to do a blogpost on but for now, goodbye!
